Jennifer Lumsdaine is a partner at TLD Law, LLP. Her practice focuses on assisting fiduciaries and businesses both in litigation and in formulating best practices to prevent litigation. Ms. Lumsdaine has extensive experience in probate and trust litigation including with contested fiduciary accountings, breach of fiduciary duty claims, Will or Trust contests, and financial elder abuse. Additionally her prior experience in family law has given Ms. Lumsdaine unique expertise in dealing with community property issues that arise in both contested and uncontested conservatorships, estate and trust matters and business management. All of these skills and experience in seeing the various causes and contributors to litigation in these areas, has added to Ms. Lumsdaine’s ability to advise clients with their own estate planning needs and in uncontested probate and trust administrations and conservatorships. Ms. Lumsdaine’s litigation skills have additionally assisted fiduciary and business clients with employment law issues, business disputes and real estate concerns.
Ms. Lumsdaine joined TLD Law in 2005, after graduating from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. There she externed with the Western Law Center for Disability Rights (now known as the Disability Rights Legal Center). At Loyola, Ms. Lumsdaine also received First Honors in Legal Ethics and remained at the top of her class through graduation. Over her years of practice, Ms. Lumsdaine has guided many clients through both uncontested matters and prevailed for her clients at trial.
Ms. Lumsdaine has taught legal theories and practices as an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Department of Cerritos Community College and continues her own legal training and education through regular attendance at litigation seminars and estate & trust courses.
Ms. Lumsdaine works primarily out of the firm’s Long Beach and Downey, California offices.
