Jana Hagekhalil is an associate attorney in TLD Law’s Long Beach office, where she practices probate, estate planning, trust administration, and trust litigation. She also has experience handling matters including conservatorship, civil litigation, and business law.
Ms. Hagekhalil joined TLD Law in 2020, where she served as a law clerk and conducted legal research, drafted pleadings, agreements, and memorandums, prepared petitions and forms for filing, conducted client interviews, handled case management, prepared discovery, and developed litigation strategies.
Before joining TLD Law Ms. Hagekhalil provided pro bono representation to Los Angeles County residents at the Center for Juvenile Law and Policy. Her efforts aided participants in the Collateral Consequences of Conviction Justice Project to expunge or seal their prior convictions in order to obtain or restore a license, which had been negatively impacted by prior convictions
Ms. Hagekhalil received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she studied trusts and wills, business associations, family law, fundamentals of solo litigation, and trademark law. Before attending law school, she earned a B.A. from the University of California, Riverside with a dual major in Political Science and International Affairs, as well as Middle East and Islamic Studies.
While attending law school Ms. Hagekhalil completed mediation training at the Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution, where she completed over two hundred and thirteen hours of conciliation, virtual mediation, client intake, and case management to assist predominantly low-income Los Angeles County residents resolve conflicts including landlord-tenant, neighbor-neighbor, family disputes, divorce, and consumer-merchant issues.
Ms. Hagekhalil also has experience serving as a Felony Panel Summer Clerk for the Orange County Public Defender, where she assisted in trial preparation and observed court proceedings.
In her free time, Ms. Hagekhalil enjoys live music, the beach, trying new restaurants, and board games.
