Megan A. Moghtaderi to Present to Professional Fiduciary Association of California on Best Practices When Serving as Conservators

LONG BEACH, CA – TLD Law Trust and Estate Attorney Megan A. Moghtaderi will be presenting at a Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) program on the alternatives for general conservatorships, considerations in determining what is the least restrictive alternative for conservatees, and best practices for alternative decision makers.

The program will take place on August 27, 202 at the 26th Annual PFAC Educational Conference in Coronado, CA.

Ms. Moghtaderi will be joined by the Hon. Judge Kim R. Hubbard, Superior Court of Orange County, and Probate and Estate attorney Suzanne Nicholl. These presenters will cover a wide array of topics including the key insights for surrogates of the person. declining representation, terminating representation, due diligence, competency, confidentiality, and more.

Attendees will be educated on best practices for developing a screening process before filing any conservatorship action, as well as tips to facilitate a successful relationship between the conservator and the conservatee, and to assist in providing their ward with maximum self-determination. The presenters will explicate the new and revised Orange County Capacity Declaration, which will assist in determining which services are necessary for the conservatee and when those services should begin.

Ms. Moghtaderi’s practice includes estate planning for generational wealth, fiduciary representation, trust and estate administration, inheritance litigation, probate, conservatorships, and elder law. Her clients include private fiduciaries, medical providers, IT professionals, as well as business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate institutions and philanthropists. She works with clients’ certified public accountants, financial planners, and other service providers to provide holistic solutions to clients’ needs and has advised high net worth individuals and families in estate planning and trust litigation involving over $100 million in assets.

Ms. Moghtaderi continues her legal involvement in multiple organizations and is Chair Elect for the Orange County Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section, Board member for non-profit organization Able ARTS Work providing services to all abled individuals using art and music therapy.
