SUMMARY
Matt Kinley is a partner of Tredway, Lumsdaine & Doyle, LLP. He joined the firm in 1989.
With almost two decades of litigation experience in state and federal courts on behalf of individuals and entrepreneurial
businesses, Mr. Kinley has developed a successful track record in real estate, business and corporate disputes.
He also has substantial experience in arbitrations and alternative dispute resolution. He has represented contractors
and real estate companies in several different aspects of real estate law including real estate contract disputes,
construction disputes, leasing issues, fiduciary law suits and other areas. He has represented businesses and
individuals in small and large matters, including breach of contract, unfair competition, trade secrets and other business torts. Mr. Kinley has attended the University of Southern California’s Institute
for Corporate Counsel and Institute for Real Estate Law.
In addition to real estate and business law, Mr. Kinley devotes a portion of his practice to the representation of
injured individuals and their families. He has been particularly successful in wrongful death matters, as well as
catastrophic injury cases.
In 2005, the California Chamber of Commerce recognized Mr. Kinley with its Small Business Advocate of the Year Award. The award was given in recognition of Mr. Kinley's continued advocacy for small businesses within the state.
A native of Long Beach, Mr. Kinley is a member of the Los Angeles Bar Association and the Long Beach Bar Association. He is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He serves as the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman of the Board of Directors and its Leadership Council, and is past president of the local Rotary Club. He has served in leadership positions for the Long Beach Commercial Real Estate Council, the Long Beach Muscular Dystrophy Association, the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, the Rancho Los Amigos Foundation Board of Directors, Seafest Board of Governors and many other charitable and community organizations.
